STRUCTURE AND PARTNERS

The Waterberg Biosphere Reserve is a Section 21 company and – since 7 January 2010 – a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO nr 074-684) that works in conjunction with local and international partners.

The Waterberg Biosphere Reserve has the following office bearers and management committees;

Chairperson:  Dr Rupert Baber

Deputy Chairperson:  Malesela Chokwe

Programme Coordinator:  Kelly Abram


Four sub-committees have been appointed;

Finance, fundraising, marketing and tourism - Chairperson:  Dr Rupert Baber

Education, training, research and monitoring - Chairperson:  Dr Anthony Roberts

Socio-economic development - Chairperson:  Malesela Chokwe

Environmental conservation, heritage conservation and development planning - Chairperson:  Claire Ntshane



The Waterberg Biosphere Reserve has a stakeholder forum comprising of the following membership, who each have a number of voting rights and who elect the directors of the Section 21 company:
